Some of my favorite projects begin with a simple question:
what kind of world can we create for people to step into together?
I conceive and develop original themed dance events that bring together social dance, live music, visual design, costume, storytelling, and a strong sense of place. Depending on the event, I may create the overall concept, develop the dance program, choreograph original dances for particular music or themes, design promotional and event materials, and collaborate with musicians and other artists to bring the experience to life.
Signature projects include the Alice in Wonderland Tea Social, Danse Macabre Halloween Ball, and Moonlight Summer Ball, created and developed through the Historical Tea & Dance Society, with musical collaboration from the wonderful musicians of Whirled Peas on Alice and Danse Macabre.
The goal is always the same: create something distinctive, welcoming, and memorable — and give everyone in the room a chance to become part of it.
Alice in Wonderland Tea Social
Step through the looking glass and into Wonderland — an immersive tea-and-dance experience inspired by Lewis Carroll, where the story unfolds through narration, a reading of Carroll’s poetry, live music, historical and modern English Country dancing, imaginative guest costumes, themed treats, and playful photo opportunities.
Danse Macabre Halloween Ball
We celebrate the lighter side of Halloween — an evening of live music, historical and modern English Country dancing, imaginative costumes, themed treats, ghoulishly delicious punch, and a bit of trick-or-treating for playful trinkets.

Moonlight Summer Ball
An evening of dancing under the stars — the Moonlight Summer Ball brings guests together for historical dance in a setting filled with sparkling lights, flowing drapery, and summer-night magic.
An evening picnic leads into the outdoor ball, with past themes ranging from Victorian elegance to Middle Earth fantasy.
